Job Summary

Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payment documents, maintaining ledgers, and investigating account irregularities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accounts Payable Processing: Process and post invoices and expenses, prepare and fill out payments to third parties, and verify that orders are charged to the proper accounts.
  2. Financial Analysis: Maintain ledgers, credit balances, and investigate account irregularities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
  3. Disbursement Management: Obtain approval for disbursements, ensure expenditures are correctly coded, and prepare payment reports and statistics for key personnel.
  4. Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied transactions, and review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 2 years of working experience in a high-paced office setting, preferably in accounts payable or a related field.
  2. Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls, high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and computerized accounting applications.
  3. Personal Qualities: Effective attention to detail, excellent teamwork and team building skills, able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
