About the role: We are seeking a diligent Financial Transaction Coordinator to join our team at FORTUNE CONSTRUCTION LTD. This is a permanent position with 32 to 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will work independently and be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, keeping financial records, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a strong understanding of manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll
  • Keeping financial records and establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts
  • Maintaining general ledgers and financial statements
  • Posting journal entries
  • Preparing statistical, financial, and accounting reports
  • Preparing trial balances of books

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with tight deadlines
