This position is set in a fast-paced restaurant atmosphere where efficiency and quality are paramount.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective work schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that all food and service adhere to established quality control standards.
- Prepare budget forecasts and cost estimates for operations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Compile and submit operational reports as required.
- Prepare food order summaries for the kitchen staff.
- Possess knowledge of the culinary styles offered by the establishment.
- Oversee the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
This role includes supervising a team of 5-10 individuals, including:
- Cooks (general)
- Food and beverage servers
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
- Kitchen and food service helpers
The position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities that include:
- Working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Engaging in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong client focus and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding oral communication abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to work as part of a team.
A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
