Wage Schedule:
$56 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Preferred Baccalaureate education in nursing;
- Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario;
- Familiarity with community resources that facilitate discharges;
- Ability to engage in critical discussions regarding transition planning across diverse patient demographics;
- Proven communication skills with patients, family members, interprofessional healthcare teams, and community partners;
- Excellence in both oral and written communication;
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and educational abilities;
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team;
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced environments such as emergency departments and inpatient units;
- Extensive experience in Gerontological Nursing and quality improvement initiatives;
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly EPIC, MS Office, and other relevant software;
- Flexibility to support leadership, clinical teams, patients, family members, and community organizations across various sites;
- Must maintain a satisfactory performance record;
- Commitment to core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork, and Joy;
- Understanding and commitment to comprehensive safety programs and practices, including participation in regular in-service education; and,
- Proven attendance record with the ability to maintain this standard.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment terms are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).
Successful external applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector.
