Job Summary:

The Rehabilitation Clerk will perform various duties under the direction of the Patient Care Manager, including screening referrals, performing dictionary tasks, and scheduling patients in the Community Wide Scheduling module.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen referrals for completeness and accuracy
  • Perform dictionary tasks and changes in the Community Wide Scheduling module
  • Schedule and pre-register patients in the admission module
  • Determine prioritization levels based on the prioritization tool
  • Meet booking timelines and targets
  • Reschedule patients as necessary
  • Perform billing and clerical duties

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a two-year Community College Medical Office Administration program
  • Proven knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proven keyboarding skills of 30 wpm
  • Relevant clerical experience in an outpatient hospital setting
  • Experience with Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling module
