Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Child Care Provider to support families in a nurturing environment. This role involves providing comprehensive care for children within the employer's residence.

New Westminster, BC

Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence, ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for children.

Compensation

The hourly wage is set at $18.00, with an expectation of 30 hours per week.

Employment Terms

This is a full-time position available on a term or contract basis.

Responsibilities
  • Provide light housekeeping and maintain cleanliness in the home.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding of infants and children.
  • Implement discipline strategies as outlined by parents.
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
  • Document daily activities and health-related information for each child.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Organize recreational activities such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals.
  • Facilitate rest periods for infants and children.
  • Supervise children during daily activities.
  • Transport children to school and appointments as needed.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist with homework and educational tasks.
Qualifications

Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
