About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dining Room Server to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our dining rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently ensure food quality, presentation, and service delivery meet established department standards.
  • Prepare and provide meal service to residents and guests according to established standards, procedures, and guidelines, respecting individualized services and observing special diet restrictions.
  • Ensure dining room appearance meets established standards, including table linens, place settings, and wait stations.
  • Clear tables, load and safely operate the dishwasher, and complete manual ware washing as required.
  • Contribute to the team environment, working towards departmental goals and priorities, and providing ongoing feedback to the Food and Beverage Manager on meals and menu choices.
  • Promote a safety culture by continuously working safely, identifying and reporting hazards, following safe work practices and procedures, and supporting others to work safely.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who values continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. You will bring:

  • A high-school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • At least one year of experience with serving food or demonstrated experience in customer service.
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire.
  • Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset.
  • Smart Serve & Food Handlers Certificate considered an asset.
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
