About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Alio Health Services. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personalized Care: Offer one-on-one support and companionship to patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate Effectively: Engage in open and respectful communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Monitor and Report: Continuously observe patients and report any concerns or changes to the assigned nurse or healthcare team.
  • Support Daily Living: Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times.
Requirements
  • English and French Communication: Possess excellent communication skills in both English and French, with bilingualism being an asset.
  • CPR Certification: Hold a current CPR certificate and be willing to maintain it.
  • Police Check: Have a recent police check for the vulnerable sector.
  • TB Test: Have a negative TB test from within the last year.
  • Mobile Device and Internet: Possess a mobile device and have access to the internet.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with others.
  • Patience and Calmness: Possess a high degree of patience and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Technology Proficiency: Be proficient with technology and able to adapt to new systems.
