Job Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Alio Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team. As a PSW, you will provide essential care and support to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, or patient's homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and feeding.
  • Provide support with transferring, positioning, and ambulating patients using mechanical aids and transferring devices.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks as required.
  • Monitor patients' physical and mental status, reporting any concerns to the case supervisor or facility charge nurse.
Requirements:
  • PSW certification from an accredited institution.
  • English communication required; bilingualism is an asset.
  • Ability to work shifts, including day, evening, and night shifts.
  • CPR certification and a recent police check for the vulnerable sector.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
