About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of production processes and products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Inside Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Sales, to drive business results.
  • Standardize cost rates and develop financial models to support business decisions.
  • Coordinate the receipt of program costs and review quotes for reasonableness.
  • Prepare production part costs and maintain these costs throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Assist in preparing costing and customer quotations, as well as business cases for production parts, prototypes, alerts, and tooling.
  • Review and approve cost changes that impact program costs and maintain cost reduction roadmaps.
  • Perform month-end procedures, including inventory, inventory variances, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with sales forecasting on a quarterly basis and provide profitability analysis on a part/product/customer basis.
  • Provide financial analysis related to long-term agreement pricing and continuously improve the effectiveness of the quoting process.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in an accounting or business discipline.
  • Active involvement or achievement in an accounting designation is an asset.
  • Ability to spend time on the production floor and understand production processes and products.
  • Possess a high level of initiative and ability to drive improvements.
  • Strong business acumen and sound knowledge of cost accounting and business analytical techniques.
  • Strong Excel and computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work under general direction as well as showing initiative.
