Bombardier's Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is recognized as a premier facility within Bombardier's European operations. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre stands out as the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and is the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The site is equipped to conduct a wide range of maintenance checks, modifications, and upgrades, all from this location. Positioned just 14 miles from London, Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is strategically placed to assist operators throughout the UK region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee supplier capability evaluations, which include:
o Planning supplier assessments: Develop timelines, finalize logistics, initiate kickoff/data requests, manage team resources, and outline expectations.
o Conducting capability evaluations: Lead the team in performing on-site assessments.
o Compiling evaluation results: Supervise the creation of assessment deliverables, prepare management reports, finalize assessment scores, and communicate findings.
• Act as a supply chain expert during on-site supplier evaluations to assess supplier performance with an emphasis on supply chain and planning.
o Demand planning: Evaluate the supplier's demand planning processes (variables, forecasts, frequency, etc.), systems/tools utilized, and communication methods.
o Sales & Operations planning: Review the governance process for Sales & Operations, planning horizons, involved stakeholders, budgeting, and tools used.
o Production & inventory planning: Analyze the supplier's production/inventory planning parameters, systems employed, inventory levels, and stakeholder coordination.
o Procurement planning: Assess P2P workflows, processes, and systems/tools utilized.
o Supplier management: Evaluate systems/tools/processes used for managing and assessing tier II/III suppliers.
• Review supplier performance in relation to financial and human resources processes.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in the supplier's supply chain processes and governance to enhance planning and supplier performance.
• Maintain a log of supplier risks, agreed corrective/improvement actions, and track progress on these actions following assessments.
• Collaborate with relevant team members to monitor and resolve recurring supplier issues and risks.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain and Operations, particularly in S&OP or inventory planning within Industrial Manufacturing, including at least 3 years of experience in mentoring teams.
• Familiarity with key systems/tools utilized in a planning environment, such as Sales forecasting, ERP, and MRP.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to connect capability assessment outcomes to business objectives.
• Proficient technical skills, particularly with MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word).
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
