We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities- Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Assess and Plan Care: Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure Smooth Transitions: Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage Medications: Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Provide Comprehensive Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the residents.
- Education: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Deals with others in an effective, compassionate, and supportive manner.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), Coroners Act, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Clearance: Medical Clearance (including but not limited to TB tests), Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check, Clear Criminal Record check.
