About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical treatment programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Registration/licensure with the appropriate professional regulatory organization.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly ASD.
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices in intervention for young children with ASD.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the DSM-IV diagnostic system, case management, and behavioral management.
  • Ability to formulate and implement treatment plans to promote positive adaptive behaviors, independence, and skills development.
  • Previous experience providing supervision and leadership skills working within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Nova Scotia driver's license.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset.
Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Interventionist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing clinical treatment programs for children with ASD.
  • Collaborating with team members and community partners to provide a holistic, client-centered approach.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant acts, regulations, and standards.
  • Providing supervision and leadership to team members.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
