About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical treatment programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote positive adaptive behaviors, independence, and skills development in children with ASD.
  • Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team and community partners to provide a holistic, client-centered approach.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant acts, regulations, and standards, including those related to mental health and addictions.
  • Provide supervision and leadership to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and families to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in intervention for young children with ASD, including the use of evidence-based treatments and therapies.
Requirements
  • Masters in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Registration/licensure with the appropriate professional regulatory organization.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly ASD.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing treatment plans, including behavioral management and psychological testing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid Nova Scotia driver's license.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset.
