About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at YOGI'S KITCHEN FOOD SERVICES (VICTORIA) LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are clean and sanitized to maintain a high level of food safety and quality.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: This role requires standing for extended periods, and is physically demanding.
  • Weight Handling: The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required.
Personal Qualities and Suitability
  • Reliability: A strong sense of reliability and responsibility is essential for this role.
  • Multitasking: The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is required.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: The successful candidate will work 32 to 40 hours per week.
