Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure accurate financial management.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Fast-paced environment and ability to work under pressure.
  • Tight deadlines and ability to multitask.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Dependability and reliability.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
