About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of assigned projects within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Oversee design consultants and contractors, and interface with stakeholders and clinicians to ensure projects meet objectives and are delivered to project milestone dates.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, and ensure cost estimation and tender document coordination.
  • Act as interim Manager, Project Management as required to ensure continuity of service during annual leave.

Requirements:

  • Registered Engineer (in N.S.) in a relevant Engineering discipline, or Project Manager with 5 years of experience in a Building Infrastructure or Health Care Environment.
  • Experience in building design, contract, construction, and project management.
  • Experience managing complex projects and stakeholder teams, committees, etc.
  • Budgeting and project estimating skills.
  • Proven record of success working with staff, contractors, consultants, designers, and clients.
  • Proven ability to apply quality management principles and processes.
  • Ability to apply risk assessment and management principles and processes.
  • Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional Certification considered an asset.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Hours
  • Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and Benefits

$53.67 Hourly.

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
