Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at Advance Sheet Metal Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sheet metal products in our fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture and assemble sheet metal products in the factory, including ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning, and ventilation.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template.
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
  • Develop computerized patterns and layouts.
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
  • Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment.
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal surfaces.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working in a large workload.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment.
  • Team player with flexibility and adaptability.
