Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Foothills Foods & European Deli. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality baked goods and a commitment to excellence.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for various baked items including pies, bread, rolls, and pastries, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
  • Oversee the baking process for mixed dough and batters to ensure optimal results.
  • Supervise and manage baking staff and kitchen personnel.
  • Decorate and frost cakes and other baked products to meet customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand.
  • Train new staff in baking techniques and safety protocols.
  • Maintain quality control to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Participate in hiring and staffing decisions.
  • Organize and manage inventory of baking supplies.
  • Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods to enhance customer experience.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in a baking environment.
  • Position is permanent with a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Work language is English.
