Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests for asphalt materials, including CCIL Type B Certified Superpave and Marshall testing.
- Engage in proficiency tests and uphold all necessary laboratory certifications.
- Perform certified testing accurately and efficiently.
- Gather and interpret data, ensuring precise entry of test results for reporting purposes.
- Maintain equipment calibration, perform maintenance, and uphold safety standards in the laboratory.
- Participate in quality audits and report any non-conformances to the Lab Lead.
- Manage the logistics of samples, including shipping, receiving, and storage.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of laboratory supplies.
- Collaborate with office staff, including field technicians and administrative personnel.
Qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering/Technology or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with CCIL certified Marshall and/or SuperPave testing methods.
- Strong understanding of standardized lab testing procedures (MTO, ASTM, AASHTO).
- Familiarity with CCIL laboratory certification processes and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data entry and report generation.
- Commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace.
- Current CCIL certification is preferred.
