Leasing Consultant for Residential Properties

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Residential Leasing Agent to enhance our leasing team for a residential rental project in Victoria, British Columbia. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for managing the leasing process and supporting the Leasing Manager in all project-related activities. If you possess strong interpersonal skills and are dedicated to offering an outstanding experience to prospective residents, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting all leasing-related tasks including outreach campaigns, property tours, report preparation, and tenancy agreement management.
- Highlighting the advantages of the location and suite features while providing accurate rental pricing.
- Promoting ongoing marketing strategies and incentives to attract potential residents.
- Maintaining records of all interactions with prospects in the designated database or software.
- Qualifying prospective residents and matching them with suitable units.
- Ensuring a positive resident experience from initial contact through to move-in.
- Proactively meeting leasing targets and filling the property with desirable tenants.
- Keeping the website and advertisements current, reporting any inconsistencies to the leasing manager.
- Responding promptly to all rental inquiries, adhering to a 30-minute response time policy.
- Following up with prospects and applicants throughout the leasing process.
- Collecting applications and ensuring all information is organized and complete.
- Complying with internal applicant screening policies.
- Adhering to the Residential Tenancy Act.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Enjoyment of a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Office (experience with CRM systems is a plus).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs and navigate stairs as needed.
- Bonus: Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act.
- Preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience in sales or leasing.
