Job Title: Buyer-Defense Electronics Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer to join our team at Curtiss-Wright, a world-class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, Ontario. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting our supply chain function, requiring a strong understanding of defense electronic products and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure and manage commodities to support Curtiss-Wright's supply chain.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement through scorecards and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in supplier calls and update ERP delivery commitments in coordination with Planning.
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships, measuring and reporting on supplier performance trends.
  • Coordinate and review supplier open order reports to expedite and escalate priority lists.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure updates are available when needed.
  • Provide updates and status of orders to program managers and internal customers.
  • Identify and escalate ongoing supplier issues with Management.
  • Support Procurement and Planning with documentation as required.
  • Manage functions such as material reservations, master data maintenance, and lead times.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Finance.
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Electronics, Machining, and knowledge of PWB/PCBs.
  • Knowledge and experience with AS9100 requirements.
  • High level of understanding of material and planning processes.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
