Position Overview

The Regional Brand Champion is responsible for enhancing the sales of supplier brands through strategic regional initiatives aimed at both trade and consumer engagement. This role involves cultivating relationships that align with the objectives of both the company and its suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture direct relationships with key stakeholders in the trade, including partners, sommeliers, managers, and bartenders, while providing valuable feedback to the brand.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and branding goals.
  • Assess, categorize, and prioritize key accounts, fostering direct relationships with significant on-premise players.
  • Oversee the implementation and follow-up of on-trade activities and sales in accordance with the brand strategy.
  • Lead engaging events and experiences for clients (excluding sampling).
  • Assist in organizing events and promotional activities.
  • Facilitate training programs for partners and key trade players, while also supporting the internal sales team with high-value training sessions.
  • Drive brand success through educational initiatives and experiences for Territory Managers, Sales Managers, and Key Account Managers.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Identify and source top-tier opportunities to enhance execution strategies, including new business development with potential accounts.
  • Collect and analyze customer insights and competitor activities from partner venues and relevant industry sources.
  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive client contact database.
  • Provide detailed reports tracking performance against established supplier objectives and requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant sales experience within the distribution, hospitality, or supplier sectors.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance as per provincial regulations.
  • A thorough understanding of wine and spirits, including knowledge of regions, varietals, product pairing techniques, and basic production and service.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively with diverse internal customer groups and personalities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Capability to generate and present innovative ideas.
  • A goal-oriented, focused, and assertive individual who thrives with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Some responsibilities may require evening or weekend work.
  • Willingness to travel within the province or country.
  • Physical demands may include prolonged periods of sitting and using a computer.
  • Occasional physical activities may involve walking, bending, reaching, standing, and lifting up to 40lbs.
