About the Role

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Brand Activator to join our team. As a Regional Brand Activator, you will be responsible for maximizing the sale of supplier brands to the trade and consumer through effective regional execution via business development off and on trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Strategic Relationships: Establish and maintain direct relationships with key players in the trade, including partners, sommeliers, managers, and bartenders, to provide feedback and updates on brand performance.
  • Marketing Execution and Branding: Plan and execute marketing strategies to achieve branding objectives, including the development of marketing materials and promotional activities.
  • Account Management: Audit, classify, and prioritize key accounts, and develop and lead direct relationships with key on-premise players to drive sales and achieve brand objectives.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan, execute, and follow up on on-trade activities and sales against the brand plan, including the development of OP partnerships and events.
  • Training and Education: Provide training programs for partners and key players in the on-trade, as well as support internal sales teams for high-value trainings.
  • Brand Success: Drive brand success through training, education, and experiences for Territory Managers, Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and other stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Source new business development opportunities to support execution strategy, including new accounts and client database management.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze customer insights and competitors' activities to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide detailed tracking and execution reports of performance against agreed-to supplier objectives and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Five years of industry-related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality, or supplier community.
  • Skills: Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits, including regions, varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service. Strong negotiation skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to create and sell innovative ideas.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to travel within the province/country, occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40lbs, and sitting and typing/keyboarding for considerable amounts of time.
