We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our dynamic team at Save-on-Foods Sushi Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to culinary excellence.
Qualifications- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
The position is set in a fast-paced restaurant environment, where teamwork and efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, focusing on sushi and other Japanese specialties.
- Accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with dietitians or chefs to prepare special meals for patients.
- Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
- Manage inventory by ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
- Supervise kitchen staff and assistants to maintain a productive work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
Expertise in Japanese cuisine is essential for this role.
