About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Motel 6 Trenton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Standards: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our hotel meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas for improvement and recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist with Cleaning Duties: Assist our cleaning staff with their duties as needed, ensuring that our hotel is always clean and tidy.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that our hotel is always fully staffed and ready to meet the needs of our guests.
Supervision and Team Management
  • Team Size: 5-10 people
  • Reports to: Facilities Manager
  • Team Members: Janitors, caretakers, and building superintendents, light duty cleaners

  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to stand for extended periods
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Ability to handle heavy loads and lift equipment as needed
