Job Summary

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff and clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Configure and maintain desktop, laptop, and mobile devices, as well as printers and other equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Assist with training and orientation for new staff and clients on hardware and software applications
  • Participate in research and development of new technologies and systems to improve our IT infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for IT-related tasks
  • Assist with inventory tracking and management of IT assets
Requirements
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, as well as basic networking systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues professionally and effectively
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a high level of integrity and exceptional work ethic
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or within a team environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel as required (limited)
  • Ability to work varying hours/days, if required
  • Valid CPIC clearance (Criminal Records check); Vulnerable reference Check may be required
  • Current, valid Ontario Driver's License and safe driving record
