In this role, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you will oversee the accounts payable department. You will serve as the primary point of contact for dealership Controllers, facilitating communication between the dealerships and the accounts payable team. Work Location: This position requires onsite work.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of Accounts Payable:- Supervise the accounts payable operations, ensuring precision, promptness, and adherence to company policies.
- Formulate and enforce accounts payable protocols to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Guide the accounts payable staff, offering mentorship, coaching, and training as necessary.
- Encourage a collaborative and high-achieving team atmosphere.
- Evaluate accounts payable workflows to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and boost efficiency.
- Adopt best practices and automation solutions to optimize accounts payable functions.
- Assist in the processing of incoming invoices as required, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Keep accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Promptly address and resolve accounts payable-related issues.
- Make informed decisions to improve team performance and task execution.
- Oversee month-end reporting for accounts payable across various dealerships.
- Produce reports and conduct analyses related to accounts payable, providing management with insights into spending behaviors and trends.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with dealership Controllers and assist with accounts payable inquiries as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless accounts payable operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, including 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with YOOZ application software is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
