The Maintenance Reliability Engineering Manager serves as the primary authority for all engineering-related matters within a facility.This role involves leading a team and fostering a culture centered around safety; ensuring adherence to all regulatory compliance standards to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel; delivering a high level of equipment availability to the General Manager; and collaborating with the EU Engineering team to strategize for future expansion.
Additionally, the position requires participation in network-wide enhancement initiatives and the implementation of standards established across the network.
Collaborate with the site Safety department and Site Leadership to execute, document, and audit safety and compliance programs, ensuring a secure workplace for all employees.
Assume legal responsibilities as the site engineering authority within this framework.# Partner with the recruitment team to ensure that the designated headcount is filled with qualified and experienced personnel, which may include support for Apprentice and Graduate programs.
# Apply standards validated by the AU Engineering team and engage in continuous improvement efforts to create or revise standards as necessary to ensure high levels of safety and equipment availability for our internal stakeholders. A significant emphasis is placed on preventative maintenance initiatives.
# Develop and maintain contingency plans for equipment failures, coordinate drills with relevant parties, and be prepared to adapt as needed to ensure that failures or breakdowns are resolved promptly.
# Maintain a long-term perspective by collaborating with Site Management, Finance, the AU Engineering team, and internal design teams to plan for future growth, upgrades, or the rollout of new equipment.
Relevant experience in leading engineering teams.
# Experience in employee and performance management.
# Background in distribution or manufacturing with equivalent mechanical or electrical experience.
# Experience in facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management.
# A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience/ 2+ years of experience with Amazon.
Preferred qualifications are not mandatory for application at Amazon. Experience in the design review process to integrate electrical, mechanical, and automation control solutions to enhance equipment reliability and standards.
# Familiarity with automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic interpretation, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance practices, industrial electrical systems, industrial controls, and industrial electronics.
