**Job Title:** Continuous Improvement

**Job Summary:**

Plastic Staffing Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement and Engineering Manager to lead initiatives that enhance manufacturing processes, increase operational efficiency, and ensure equipment reliability and performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and mentor process engineering teams to promote a continuous improvement culture and drive strategic business objectives.
  • Implement Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and improvement strategies to identify areas for efficiency gains, waste reduction, and cost savings.
  • Oversee the optimization of manufacturing processes, collaborate with process engineers to address challenges, and ensure maintenance schedules.
  • Manage capital projects from concept to completion, oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, and coordinate with external vendors and internal teams.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations, develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, and enforce safe work practices.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, or related role in manufacturing or packaging industry.
  • Proven experience managing engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with capital projects, process optimization, and maintenance systems in flexible packaging environments.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
  • Flexible packaging industry or similar manufacturing environment experience.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with ERP systems and CMMS.
