We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Oncology and Medical Day Care Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our oncology and medical day care program.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient and family assessment, administering and teaching chemotherapy, and participating in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans.
- Contribute to quality improvement processes and facilitate referrals and research initiatives.
- Collaborate with the inter-professional team to provide supportive and palliative care.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- BScN or related degree completed or in progress preferred.
- Completion of de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course mandatory.
- Experience with intravenous insertion, PICC and Portacath access, and current experience in systemic chemotherapy administration.
- Current BCLS certification and knowledge of principles of oncology and palliative care nursing.
- Demonstrated experience in working independently and as part of an inter-professional team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A competitive hourly rate of $56.00.
- A casual position with flexible scheduling.
