Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Handle incoming calls, coordinate appointment scheduling, and address patient inquiries effectively.
  • Maintain and update patient records within the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Assist in processing billing and insurance claims.
  • Oversee the front desk area, ensuring it remains organized and tidy.
  • Check patients in and perform basic automated vital sign measurements (training will be provided).
  • Availability required in-person on designated days and virtually on others.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a receptionist or administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.
  • Proficient in medical office software, specifically Accuro EMR.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with telephone systems.

Job Type:

Part-time position with the possibility of transitioning to full-time.

Compensation:

Hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $25.00.

Expected Work Hours:

14 to 21 hours weekly for part-time roles.

Language Requirements:

French language skills are not mandatory.

Work Schedule:

In-person on specific days and remote on others for part-time; full-time schedule available.

Educational Background:

Secondary education is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year as a medical receptionist is preferred.

Commute Requirements:

Ability to commute as required.

Work Environment:

Hybrid remote work arrangement.
