Job Title: Mental Health Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at JAZ Community Support Limited. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health disabilities, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to lead fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:
  • Provide support and guidance to clients with mental health disabilities, helping them to develop life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs.
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Implement life skills workshops and other programs to support clients' personal growth and development.
  • Provide support with daily living tasks, such as housekeeping and food preparation.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health disabilities, an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
