The Meat Department Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our retail meat department at Toptable Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring the efficient operation of our meat cutting and preparation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Engage with customers, build relationships, and ensure satisfaction by providing personalized services and making recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
- Meat Preparation: Order, receive, inspect, and store meat, ensuring accurate cutting and preparing of meats to meet customer needs.
- Inventory Management: Manage budgets and inventory, adhering to Food and Safety procedures and staying updated on market trends.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the butchery team to achieve sales targets and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a meat department with equipment and machinery, preferably in a retail environment.
- Skills: Technical butchery skills, including cutting and cleaning, strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
