Operations Vice-President: Strategic Leadership and Management

We are seeking an experienced Operations Vice-President to join our team at Southern Cross Industries Ltd. This is a key leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with exceptional management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Departmental Oversight: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions, ensuring effective alignment with company objectives.
- Policy Development: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs that drive business growth and success.
- Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions, promoting a positive company image.
- Staff Management: Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions to foster a productive work environment.
- Event Management: Manage events and activities that support business objectives, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess employee progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Supervision: Directly supervise a team of more than 20 people, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Accuracy and Efficiency: Demonstrate accurate and efficient interpersonal skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Judgement and Organization: Exhibit sound judgement and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Provide support and resources to help newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, promoting a welcoming work environment.
- Youth Support: Offer awareness training to employees to create a positive and inclusive work environment for youth.
- Indigenous Support: Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, fostering a culture of inclusion and respect.
- Work Term: This is a permanent position.
- Work Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Hours: The workweek is 30 hours per week.
