Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Vice President to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the establishment of major departments and senior staff positions, setting objectives for the organization, and representing the organization in official functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
  • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions
  • Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff and delegate necessary authority
  • Manage events and conduct performance reviews

Requirements

  • 5 years or more of experience in a senior leadership role
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
