Job Title: Site Supervisor

Location: Richmond, BC

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 / year based on experience

Position Overview:
The Site Supervisor collaborates with the Operations Manager and fellow Site Supervisors to manage the execution of work at our client locations. This role serves as a primary contact for clients concerning operational matters, escalations, and work orders. The Site Supervisor's main objective is to oversee employee performance, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and actively seek opportunities to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Provide guidance, constructive feedback, and recognition to staff.
  • Foster a high level of employee engagement and retention through effective leadership.
  • Utilize technology tools to lead and manage team operations.
  • Ensure adherence to performance standards and address any complaints promptly.
  • Monitor scheduled versus actual hours to maintain budget compliance.
  • Report maintenance concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity is required.
  • Experience or knowledge in the Building Maintenance Service sector is essential.
  • Proven track record in people management, whether in a previous management role or through equivalent experience.
  • Ability to successfully complete a reliability clearance and criminal record check.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating and nurturing positive team dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of having candid discussions.
  • High emotional intelligence and maturity.
  • Organized with a strong commitment to follow-through.

Working Environment:

  • This role requires mobility throughout a large facility during shifts.
  • Reports directly to an Operations Manager.
  • Oversees Lead Hands and Cleaners.

Interview Process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will participate in an initial phone discussion.
  • A second interview will involve a site visit.
  • References will be requested.
