Role Overview:

As the Operations Field Manager, you will oversee the seamless, efficient, and safe execution of all field operations, ensuring that projects are completed punctually, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will lead a team of Operators and Technicians across multiple sites.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of leadership experience in team direction and strategy development.
  • Post-secondary education (university/college) in engineering/technology or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Safety certifications, including First Aid, HS Alive, WHMIS, and Basic Firefighting (training provided if necessary).
  • Possession of a power engineer ticket/certificate at the required facility level.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities (Process/Electrical/Instrumentation/Controls).
  • Proven history of delivering results on time, with quality and within budget.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to site.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Process Operator.
  • Background in the Oil & Gas sector.

Success Metrics in this Role:

  • Collaborate with Project Teams on the review and development of project documentation (DBMs, Controls Strategy, Commissioning Plans, Test Plans, HAZOP, MOC, JAH, SOP) and coordination of field resources.
  • Work closely with operators and support groups to prioritize and implement key objectives in alignment with Svante's corporate strategies.
  • Conduct effective cost management activities (target-setting, budgeting/forecasting, variance explanations, and identifying efficiency opportunities).
  • Develop and implement a maintenance plan to maximize plant operational efficiency and ensure the generation of accurate, high-integrity data.
  • Support the implementation and sustainability of major programs such as ERP, Asset Management and Reliability, Emergency Management, and Training.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to field operations, using insights to identify improvement areas and make recommendations to senior management.
