Job Title: Talent Acquisition Manager

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP is a leading business law firm in Canada, advising corporate leaders and international parties with extensive interest in Canada. Our firm has over 1,000 members based in offices across the country.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of full-cycle recruitment and retention strategies for our Toronto office. You will provide leadership, coaching, and development to our Talent Acquisition Specialists, manage the exit interview process, and oversee our onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of staff recruitment, including strategic recruitment, recruitment campaigns, internal transfer/promotion, and onboarding/orientation.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with growth objectives, collaborating with Senior Management to understand their staffing needs.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, building and communicating the firm's employee value proposition and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Oversee the development of recruitment tools and resources to implement strategies and processes.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to further develop and improve HRIS capabilities and system implementation.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related business discipline and completion of courses towards a Human Resources certificate/designation.
  • At least five years of related HR experience, including 3-5 years of proven experience leading a Talent Acquisition team or HR Administration team with a recruitment portfolio.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition and HR principles.
  • Excellent leadership and human relations skills, with the ability to build strong relationships in a confidential and tactful manner.
  • Digitally-savvy with experience maintaining and administering an Applicant Tracking System.
