About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Delicatessen Clerk to join our team at Vahagn's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide advice on merchandise.
  • Inventory Management: Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Merchandise Display: Assist in displaying merchandise in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Sales and Transactions: Process sales transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain sales records for inventory control.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli department.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Positive attitude, organized, reliable, excellent oral communication skills, and client focus.
