We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at J.E. Wilson Roofing Co., Ltd. as a Construction Technician. As a key member of our building trades team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofing systems on commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities- Install and replace roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and metal roofs
- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces
- Erect and install scaffolding and working platforms
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications
- Work at heights, in dusty and potentially hazardous environments
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate in roofing
- 1-2 years of experience in the trade
- Working at heights training and WHMIS certification
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
- Roofer Trade Certification
This is a physically demanding role that requires working in fast-paced environments, handling heavy loads, and working at heights. You must be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a variety of weather conditions.
