Design Thinking Professor

Join our esteemed faculty at the University of Ottawa as a Design Thinking Professor. We are seeking an exceptional individual to teach and lead our students in the art of design thinking.
About the RoleThis is a regular part-time professor position that requires a PhD in Psychology or a related field with a thesis relevant to design thinking. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of industry experience demonstrating mastery of current practice and theory in all aspects of design thinking.
Responsibilities- Teach design thinking principles and practices to students
- Lead design projects and mentor students in a collaborative environment
- Develop and implement design thinking curricula and assessments
- Contribute to the development of design thinking research and innovation initiatives
The successful candidate will have:
- A PhD in Psychology or a related field with a thesis relevant to design thinking
- Three to five years of industry experience in design thinking
- Expert knowledge of management practices related to business innovation, product development, and customer experience
- Significant experience managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary design projects
