Position Overview

Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals? We are seeking a registered Occupational Therapist to leverage your expertise in a vibrant and supportive Primary Care environment.

In alignment with a person and family-centered approach to care, and in accordance with Northern Health's vision for a comprehensive health service system, the Primary Care Occupational Therapist collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans and deliver coordinated health services through the Primary Care Home.

The Occupational Therapist adheres to the professional standards and ethical guidelines established by the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.

Providing safe, competent, and ethical care, the Occupational Therapist serves individuals and their families across various settings, including healthcare practices, residences, facilities, and community environments, applying evidence-informed practices to achieve meaningful outcomes related to their engagement in valued activities.

Through thorough clinical assessments, strategic treatment planning, recommended interventions, and follow-up care, the Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in fulfilling the comprehensive care plan developed by the interdisciplinary team, guided by the individual’s personal care goals.


Compensation:
The updated wage structure reflects a competitive rate of $52.95/hour.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
