Role Overview: Amazon Turkey is in search of a seasoned manager with a proven track record in developing and leading core procurement functions across various categories. You will oversee a team dedicated to enhancing both the revenue and profitability of the Profit and Loss statement. Your responsibilities will include establishing vendor partnerships, negotiating agreements, crafting promotional strategies, and staying attuned to market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive selection expansion and enhance customer value by managing a diverse range of new and existing vendor relationships within your category.
  2. Foster robust and sustainable partnerships with vendors, employing innovative negotiation tactics to promote profitable growth.
  3. Collaborate closely with site merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, and product management teams to synchronize efforts and achieve desired outcomes.
  4. Transform comprehensive analyses into strategic insights, presenting these in compelling formats and translating them into actionable plans.
  5. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual processes to boost productivity.
  6. Act as an industry ambassador, consistently working to elevate Amazon Turkey's market position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in an analytical field, such as business or engineering.
  2. Over 5 years of experience in people management.
  3. More than 12 years of experience in P&L ownership or leadership, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or consulting.
  4. Advanced proficiency in English (C1 level or equivalent).
  5. Demonstrated leadership skills in building efficient and inclusive teams, with a successful history of developing future leaders.
  6. Strong business acumen with a history of successful negotiations and relationship management.
  7. Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor, while maintaining a capacity for self-reflection.
  8. A business-oriented mindset with a results-driven approach and a strategic outlook.
  9. Highly analytical with a strong aptitude for data and numerical reasoning.
  10. Proactive self-starter, decisive, and capable of swiftly implementing ideas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA is advantageous.
  2. Proficiency in Turkish is a plus.
  3. Experience in Retail, FMCG, or E-commerce is beneficial.
  4. Cross-functional experience, particularly in finance, marketing, or supply chain, is desirable.
  5. Advanced skills in Excel and database management, with SQL experience being a plus.
