Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing AutoCAD team.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation.

You will be involved in streamlining our development and deployment processes, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring the scalability and security of our infrastructure.

This role is hybrid in Vancouver, Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation
  • Support development teams in leveraging our larger machine learning operations (MLOps)
  • Drive the design, implementation, and management for expanding observability infrastructure, keeping up to date with new technologies
  • Lead sustainable incident response, blameless postmortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunities
  • Collaborate with software development and the infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain multiple business offerings
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Manage and secure cloud-based environments (AWS)
  • Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Collaborate in designing and implementing security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipelines
  • Periodical On-Call responsibility, alongside your fellow team members
  • Define and document best practices across all pillars of DevOps/SRE
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in DevOps / SRE or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Expertise with container-based technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
  • Expertise with infrastructure as code, configuration management tools, and cloud automation, e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Good understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Experience in defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools
  • Great programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell
  • Experience in Linux Systems Administration, scripting, and troubleshooting in a production environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications)
  • Experience with microservices, serverless architecture
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana)
  • Knowledge in Jenkins, Groovy, CDK

Salary transparency: Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.

In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
