Position Overview

As we embark on our cloud transformation journey, we are seeking a seasoned and driven Senior Cloud/Machine Learning (ML) Operations Engineer to contribute to our expanding AutoCAD team.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in architecting and executing new service offerings built on a robust cloud infrastructure.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager within the AutoCAD division, your responsibilities will include optimizing our development and deployment workflows, improving system reliability, and ensuring the scalability and security of our cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate with a dedicated DevOps team committed to delivering high-quality cloud solutions and infrastructures for the multi-platform AutoCAD application, which serves a vast user base.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement innovative service offerings leveraging a solid cloud foundation.
  • Support development teams in utilizing our comprehensive machine learning operations (MLOps).
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of observability infrastructure, staying current with emerging technologies.
  • Facilitate sustainable incident response, conduct blameless postmortems, and drive production enhancements that yield direct business benefits.
  • Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain diverse business offerings.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure utilizing contemporary DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, troubleshoot issues, and devise effective solutions.
  • Manage and secure cloud environments (AWS).
  • Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Work collaboratively to establish and uphold security best practices throughout development and deployment pipelines.
  • Participate in periodic on-call responsibilities alongside team members.
  • Define and document best practices across all facets of DevOps/SRE.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps/SRE or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • Proficiency in container-based technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code, configuration management tools, and cloud automation, including Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security principles.
  • Experience in defining and constructing CI/CD processes and familiarity with common CI/CD tools.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, and PowerShell.
  • Experience in Linux Systems Administration, including scripting and troubleshooting in production environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications).
  • Experience with microservices and serverless architecture.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Groovy, and CDK.
