About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Financial Services Leader to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relationship Management: Collaborate with client relationship managers to structure, deliver, and manage credit relationships for a portfolio of large commercial clients.
  2. Credit Origination and Portfolio Management: Lead the end-to-end credit relationship for a defined portfolio of clients, focusing on loan origination and ongoing portfolio quality oversight.
  3. Business Development and Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  4. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  5. Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, exercising due diligence in recommending credit applications.
Requirements
  1. Proven Track Record: Minimum five years' experience in commercial lending at a major financial institution, ideally in diversified corporate banking or upper middle market/large commercial banking.
  2. Education and Skills: Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance, with strong quantitative, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
  3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  4. Leadership and Teamwork: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
