Cascades is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in a Lean & Continuous Improvement role. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and implementing lean principles across our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the evolution of our Lean Production System, including daily meetings, workshops, and dashboard development.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts to enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the achievement of our unit's action plan by providing operational efficiency and quality improvement support.
- Define and improve end-to-end operational processes, including mapping and deployment.
- Ensure the use of project management best practices for complex solution implementation.
- Coordinate and support implementation efforts, monitoring standardized operational practices, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
- Evaluate and propose recommendations to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop performance indicators, support their implementation, and monitor them.
- Analyze data and trends to identify improvement opportunities using our MES/Manufacturing Execution System.
- Support the sustainability of our lean model by contributing to knowledge transfer and best practices within our group and production units.
- Contribute to the resolution of technical problems in our units by coordinating and facilitating sessions with stakeholders.
- Maximize synergies and integration across Cascades' business units and levels of the company.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 50% of the time in Canada and the US.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in continuous improvement and quality in a manufacturing environment.
- Green or Black Belt certified or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and mobilization skills, with facilitation experience.
- Counseling role and impact, with a focus on rigor and action-oriented approach.
- Strong analysis, planning, and organization skills.
- Fluency in French and English, essential for communication with our units and partners in Quebec, English-speaking provinces, and the United States.
