We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Representative to join our team at Scotiabank. As an Investment Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, executing trades, and identifying opportunities to grow our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Service: Provide prompt, accurate, and professional service to clients, ensuring that every client experience is consistent with our service standards.
- Trade Execution: Execute trades on behalf of clients, ensuring that all trades are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities to grow our business by introducing clients to additional service offerings and spotting opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
- Risk Management: Minimize potential risk and harm for the business by ensuring that all trades are executed in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Communication: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all communication is clear, concise, and accurate.
Requirements:
- Education: College Diploma/University Degree
- Experience: 2+ years of industry experience, including experience in a discount brokerage environment
- Licenses: IIROC licensed as an IR and DFOL (Derivative Fund Options License)
- Language: Fluency in French
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to recognize risk to the firm, ability to set and achieve goals, and strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Courses: CSC, CPH
