Utilization Improvement Specialist

Job Summary:

Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly skilled Utilization Improvement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving patient flow processes to optimize clinical efficiency and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze patient flow data to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize clinical efficiency
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement changes
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements
  • Provide education and training to staff on new processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Baccalaureate education in nursing preferred
  • Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario
  • 5 years of clinical experience and demonstrated clinical expertise related to patient flow
  • Working knowledge of community resources to support discharges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
